When we launched the Western Hunting Summit in 2019, our vision was to share our collective knowledge of the outdoors, hunting, health, and fitness, with a strong focus on mentoring future generations. The hunting culture in America is one of the most ethical in the world, and we feel blessed to live in the vast beauty of the West, where the laws of nature still call to us. However, the world is changing swiftly, and so is this culture. We are deeply committed to mentoring and preserving the legacy of understanding, tracking, and harvesting animals with ethics, respect, and knowledge.
As we approach our 15th Summit in 2025, it’s incredible to see the community that has grown from this vision. Like-minded men, women, young and old, have come together to form a family, friends, and community. We never imagined that the Western Hunting Summit would become what it is today. It has forever changed our lives and inspires us to keep building this amazing community!

3D Archery Course & “Beat Brian Barney” Competition
We will have a 3D archery course. If you'd like to send some arrows downrange, by all means, bring your equipment, and let's have some fun.
Also, a casual walk-back competition among attendees will determine which two archers are fit to compete against the one-and-only Brian Barney. Brian can really shoot, so there will be a prize for the winner if that person can manage to BEAT BRIAN BARNEY. Good luck!
Expert Rifle shooting course
Created by top firearm experts, this course is meant to help your rifle fundamentals become second nature. All rifle and firearm instruction include safety and fundamentals training along with one on one instruction on how to make the best shot to create success!
Educational Skill Sessions
Shooting instruction, elk calling, backcountry medical education and bear awareness are a few things we will have covered in our breakout sessions. StHealthy Mountain HikeS
Assess your gear and physical conditioning on a challenging hike starting at 4:00 am. . Get hands-on experience with techniques and tactics to prepare yourself for your backcountry hunt, along with glassing and animal
All summit attendees should be prepared to spend the night on the mountain. See the What to Bring section for more info.
Meals & FOod
Healthy food will be provided all weekend including meals created by a local chef and prepared by our staff.
Music & Entertainment
Enjoy music and entertainment each weekend from local entertainers.
Q&A Sessions
Getting your specific questions answered is the entire goal of Western Hunting Summit. There will be time set aside for round table discussions allowing you to hit our group of presenters with every question you might have.
Gritty Movie night
Gritty Films is a great way to learn about the challenges and rewards of Western hunting, and there is no better filmmaker than Brian Call. Join us as Brian shares first never before seen showings of his next Gritty Hunting Film!
Gear Giveaways
We are fortunate to work with some absolutely great companies in the hunting space. These companies have provided us with some incredible gear to put into the hands of several lucky attendees. Some giveaways are won through your dedication and interest in learning, some through skill and some through whatever game we come up with to give everyone a shot at winning.
Local Attractions
Bringing the family? Looking to take some extra days to enjoy Montana? Make it a family vacation! While family members are not allowed on-site at the ranch, there’s no reason they can’t enjoy the local area! Check out our suggestions of local events, attractions and family-friendly activities in the Bozeman area. Please make sure you call ahead to confirm that all these activities and locations are open and available.
