Overview

Accelerate Your Hunt: Cut Your Learning Curve by Years

Invest a weekend of your time to avoid years of frustration and unfilled tags. The goal of Western Hunting Summit is to instill the confidence you need, not just to fill a single tag, but to find consistent success year after year. Learn from some of the most seasoned and successful authorities in Western Hunting to develop the skills you’ll need to face any hunt. Four-day summits focusing on Archery and Rifle Hunting and Instruction.

Important Info

  • Each summit will be held at a ranch located in Montana , USA. Currently we do not have the location of the 2025 Summits. More information will be added as we finalize out location.

  • All attendees will be required to camp on-site at the ranch and must be prepared with accommodations (tents, tipis, car and truck camping, small trailers and campers, etc.). Please note that there is no waste disposal available on site and, due to access limitations, large RVs will not be allowed. See our Camping section for details.

  • The ranch is remote and cell reception is limited. Consider this a mobile phone detox.

  • Porta-potty restrooms will be provided as well as outdoor showers.

  • Healthy food will be provided for the entire weekend.

  • All presentations, workouts, interactive activities, and entertainment will take place at the ranch. You’ll have plenty of time to socialize with other attendees and pick the brains of our presenters.   • All sessions will take place rain or shine. The Montana weather may provide additional mental toughness training.

Event Rules

  • ARCHERY AND RIFLE SUMMITS: Ages 11+ only. All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paid legal guardian attendee. WE DO NOT SELL PASSES FOR CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN AGE 9.

  • Due to insurance requirements, only paid attendees will be allowed on-site at the ranch. All spouses, partners and children (of an appropriate age) wishing to attend must purchase a pass. If bringing unpaid family members, please make accommodations for them off-site. View our Local Attractions page for local family-friendly activities.

  • On check-in, all attendees will be required to sign a safety waiver and be given rules and regulations info.

  • We cannot provide any firearms, so please bring your own equipment if you would like to participate in rifle instruction.

  • Please leave your pets at home. No animals will be allowed on-site at the ranch.

  • We cannot allow alcohol on the premises. Intoxication can result in removal from the event without a refund.

  • If you have any physical limitations, please contact us prior to the event to discuss needed accommodations.

  • This event will take place on private land exclusively.

  • No unauthorized vending/selling of items or products at the event.

NOTE: Western Hunting Summit reserves the right to remove any individual and revoke their pass without refund if they do not comply with event rules.

What to Bring

  • Tent/shelter (see Camping section below for more details).

  • Sleep system (sleeping bag, sleeping pad/cot, ground tarp, etc.).

  • Pack (for carrying gear during the hike).

  • Water bottle/bladder for hike.

  • Appropriate hiking clothes and broken-in boots.

  • Optics/binos.

  • Workout clothes and shoes.

  • Headlamp (fully charged or with new batteries).

  • Shower towel and all needed toiletries.

  • Camp chairs (for watching presentations).

  • Snacks for hike and 3D shoot.

  • Bow, arrows and release. (ARCHERY ONLY, OPTIONAL FOR RIFLE)

  • Rifle, hearing protection, minimum of 100 rounds of ammo. (RIFLE SUMMIT ONLY )
    For attendees unable to bring a rifle, we cannot supply rifles. we apologize for this inconvenience. . Please contact us if you have questions. .

  • ALL SUMMITS: Be prepared to bring everything needed for an overnighter on the mountain. (Shelter, Jetboil-style cooking system, sleep system, etc.)

Camping

Tents

  • We prefer that guests spend the weekend camped out in tents. This will provide the best experience for the event and allow you to test our your gear.

  • For guests without tents, we will provide a number of large group teepee tents. Please note that these may need to be shared. Please contact us if you will need this accommodation.

Camper Trailers and RVs

  • Please note that space is limited and large RVs will not have room to maneuver and are not allowed. We prefer under 8 ft wide. Contact us if you need help with this.

  • Wet and muddy conditions are a high likelihood. Please make sure your RV/camper is capable.

  • No waste disposal will be available. Plan accordingly.

  • Let’s face it… your RV won’t likely make it miles into the backcountry. Consider a tent.

Food & Meals

  • Healthy food will be provided for the entire weekend. See our Experience page for more details on meals.

  • We will be unable to accommodate special dietary restrictions or allergies. Please contact us with any concerns.

  • Dinner will NOT be provided for guests arriving Wednesday evening, however we will have refreshments and snacks during Welcome.

  • Alcoholic beverages will not be provided at the event.

  • Please bring snacks for between meals and for hikes.
